Dethclown is the 17th episode of the first season of the television series Metalocalypse. It aired on November 26th, 2006. It features the first major role for the character Dr. Rockzo, who first made a very minor appearance in the episode Birthdayface.
[edit] Synopsis
Toki goes on a driving rampage through the city with a "rock 'n' roll clown", Dr. Rockzo. The other members of Toki's band Dethklok find out and reprimand him for hanging out with clowns, all the while being tired, because it's very early in the morning. After being beaten by Dethklok guards, under the order of the band lawyer, Rockzo is recruited by The Tribunal to gather information about Dethklok. Annoying the other members of the band, Dr. Rockzo uses his music video for "I'm Just A Rock 'n' Roll Clown" as a distraction while he takes pictures of as-of-yet unknown documents and items. After being caught by the Dethklok lawyer again, Rockzo causes chaos and the guards are told to see where he goes. During the whole ordeal, Murderface seems uninterested in Rockzo, having found an alternative to wearing underwear, "freeballing" and becoming obsessed with it.

Dr. Rockzo and his rather strange music video are both parodies of 80's glam metal, particularly David Lee Roth and his music videos of the time;
Dr. Rockzo mentions that his video was banned from "Music Television" because you can see his "junk" through his jumpsuit. This is another parody of David Lee Roth's music videos, as his Just a Gigolo video was briefly banned from MTV.
