Detective Chief Inspector Gill Templer

Detective Chief Inspector Gill Templer is a detective in the Inspector Rebus series of novels by Scottish author Ian Rankin. She first appears in Knots and Crosses as a Detective Inspector. She is promoted to Detective Chief Inspector in Let it Bleed and to Detective Chief Superintendent just before The Falls.
