[edit] Influence section needs reference and improvement
The unreferenced assertion is that Description de l'Egypte is much less influential than usually thought, and that kind of claim needs a reference. Particularly in light of the comments of other encyclopedias, such as Britannica, which goes as far as to say (emphasis mine): "Egyptology began when the scholars accompanying Napoleon Bonaparte's invasion of Egypt (1798–1801) published Description de l'Égypte (1809–28), which made large quantities of source material about ancient Egypt available to Europeans." Perhaps this section needs a more balanced reassessment? Brando130 (talk) 05:20, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
