Dessa (also known as Dessa Darling), is a female rapper and singer from Minneapolis signed to Doomtree. She is also an accomplished spoken word poet.

Dessa released one of Doomtree's several False Hopes albums, and she appeared on many of them as a guest appearance. Her False Hopes introduces her as an honest-to-goodness emcee with a real singing voice and a writer's sensibility.
