Desolation Canyon is a 2006 made for TV western film starring Stacy Keach and Patrick Duffy.

Following a bank robbery, a sheriff and a retired gunfighter track down those responsible.
The film was written by Dan Fitzsimons and directed by David S. Cass Sr.
Overall the film was very well received and received very strong ratings for a cable film. Their were discussions of a possible sequel although it appears those talks have dried up.
