Desnica Radivojević

Desnica Radivojević (Десница Радивојевић) is a Bosnian Serb politician born in Skelani, near Srebrenica. After the genocide in Srebrenica 1995, he was president of the local parliament.He was the first Serb politician who recognized the genocide and crimes against Bosniaks talking about it openly. After that he and his family had serious troubles with Serb nationalists. They accused him of conspiring against Serb people forcing him and his family to leave Srebrenica. Today he is living in Sarajevo and became a member of the SDA party of Alija Izetbegovic, the former president of Bosnia. He is the most prominent Serb member of the predominantly Bosniak SDA. At elections in 2002, Radivojevic was SDA's candidate for the position of Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, he received only 8% of the votes, far below Mirko Sarović's 36%.

From 2003 until 2007 he served as the vice-president of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is currently a minister for trade in the government of the Federation of BIH.
