Des McAleenan is the goalkeeping coach for Red Bull New York in Major League Soccer. Born in Ireland, he has been with the MetroStars franchise since 2002. He played his schoolboy football in Dublin with the famous nursery Stella Maris Football Club. Has coached world-class goalkeepers including Tim Howard, before his move to Manchester United, and US full internationals Tony Meola and Johnny Walker.
