[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Deriamis.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Deriamis.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Stan 03:59, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Sorry about that. I uploaded the image and then realized I would be late for class. And then I forgot all about it. Oopsie. It's fixed now - thanks for the note! --Deriamis 22:17, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Category: Single Wikipedians

I've added a proper subcategory and "vanilla" userbox, hopefully it doesn't step on anyone's toes! I noticed you were listed, figured I'd mention this in case it's in conflict with anything you've got on a page somewhere. :) (There's always a possibility that another user will splat my additions, too. Ya never know.)

btw, as far as the copyright thingit goes in the above chat, usually school photos and professional portrait photos have you sign a release giving them sole interest on the pic... er, I mean to say that even if it's a photo of yourself, you still have to get permission from the photo studio to use/make duplicates of it (including digitally). :(

I own the rights to all my pictures taken by this studio, dear. I have a copy of the transfer and sale of rights in my safe at home. But thanks for the info! --Deriamis 00:09, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Warnings go on talk page

I notice you've been warning User:Mythology8, which is good, but vandalism warnings go on a user's talk page. You can get to that by clicking on the "discussion" tab on the top. Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 01:23, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Response to John Murtha Lock

Dear Deriamis: I pause in writing you in fear of making a mistake while corresponding with someone of such high; albeit self-described intellect. What is nonsense to me is the lack of appreciation some have for the freedoms the US Marine Corps and other branches of today’s military secure for them on a daily basis. What is nonsense to me is a US Congressman bad-mouthing the Commander-in-Chief during war time so that our enemy, you know… those like Abu Musab al-Zarqawi can hear such diatribe and use it to justify their mere existence. However violent it may be. What is nonsense is a US Congressman disregarding his oath and allegiance to the Corps. Something he pledge years before his holding of a federal office. What is nonsense is any US Marine insulting the lives and liberties afforded to him by his fellow marines.

Don’t tell me about nonsense Sir; you’ve never fought in a War. You’ve never defended this wonderful country of ours and you’ve probably bad-mouthed just about every person with love for country. I served this great country for 4 years and I dug up the bodies at ground zero for weeks as a NYC Police Officer. I know what nonsense is Sir; better than you can ever grasp. Take your self-imposed love for intellect and share it with someone else – I’m too busy doing what is good for this country – preventing Mr. Murtha from having the only bully-pulpit out there. A coward would ‘secure’ his wikipedia page. Originally posted by User:Mythology8 on Image:Deriamis.jpg

Occasionally I find myself lost in links at Wikipedia and today, before I knew it, I had read this entire John Murtha article, a few previous edits and the ensuing controversy showing up on this user page and those linking to it. It was fun; good game, Deriamis! --Randall00 22:39, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Category change

Hi. I was cleaning up the category Texas and noticed that your userpage was listed there. That category is for articles only, so I changed your userpage to point to category Wikipedians in Texas (a userpage category) instead. Karanacs 15:58, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
