Please don't remove the warning comment there. It took hard work to make the article neutral, and any change might trigger new edit wars. It once said "Mikołaj Kopernik ... was ...Polish astronomer", for example.

If you are concerned with naming issues, look at Wikipedia:Requested moves or pages were a survey is conducted, like Talk:Kraków grosh. For neutrality see Wikipedia:Neutrality Project or Category:NPOV disputes, were many articles are listed (not sorted to specific conflicts, like German-Polish, for example Talk:Wojciech Kętrzyński). -- Matthead discuß!     O       14:31, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Prussian is neutral, because Royal Prussia was a part of the Kingdom of Poland. I will change it back. --Der Eberswalder 19:19, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
You have to explain that to others, not me ... don't be surprised if you face an avalanche of "Prussia was Polish fief, thus he was Polish", "Encyclopedia XYZ calls him Polish astronomer and so should we" and the like. Your idea is original research, and as it lacks notability, it should not be mentioned in any Wikipedia article. I've also deleted Flag of Konfederacio Orienta Prusio (European Free State Project) and Another proposed flag of Konfederacio Orienta Prusio (European Free State Project) as inappropriate redirects. What is this? Some historical artifact invented by the Nazis? There never ever was such thing, and Goslar was never ever Prussian until it was defeated and annexed by Prussian in 1866 at Langensalza, so relatively spoken for not very long. The Holy German empire came factually to an end with the onset of the Thirty Years war in 1618, and thus has only existed since on paper until Napolean finally put an end to it in 1805 -- Goslar was protestant and as such not answerable tax-wise or army-wise to the Catholic Austrian (holy roman) emporer Maximillian I. in 1495 at Worms (even before the Reformation, the Austrian emporer was an emporer without portefolio--since the regional Kings, Electors and Dukes had the say in their lands). This became evident as the Protestant League of Schmalkalden allied itself against Charles V with France and Danemark to fend off the Catholics (Austrians and Bavarians), who were culturally, lingually and ethnically different from the ethnic Saxons, around whom the Protestant resistance against the Emporer had gathered. With the treaty of Augsburg in 1555 the reichskreise disappeared. It was the Electorate of Hanover and the Duchy of Brunswick to which Goslar de facto belonged. Only between 1933 and 1945 the Nazis reinvented them! German history 0 points I am afraid.

Territorially, ethnically, politically Goslar and the region was a part of the the Electorate of Hanover (ethnic and not pseudo Saxony around Dresden!), which extended deeply to the West (encompassing Frisia) to the border of the Netherlands, and never ever Mecklenburg was a part of it!! These Reichskreise might have been devised by the Austrian Emporer in Vienna (1495-while there was much unrest in the Northern parts of the Holy German empire and in 1517 Luther pinned his 95 thesis to the doors of the church in Wittenberg .to the joy of the emporer in vienna), but the Reichskreise had no factual or political meaning. What counted were the boundaries of the Guelphic territories: Brunswick & Hanover.
