The Derry News is a newspaper based and published in Derry, Northern Ireland. It serves the local community. The Newspaper changed hands in the summer of 2006, when a consortium including River Media and the Irish News acquired the title from the McCarrol family. The newspaper was revamped and printed in full colour resulting in a significant upturn in sales. The Derry News is edited by Eamonn Houston. The newspaper is currently the fastest growing local in the UK and Ireland picking up over 3,000 sales. The circulation currently stands near 15,000 over two editions, Monday and Thursday.
