Derrick Delmore (born December 12, 1978 in Andrews AFB, Maryland) is an African-American figure skater. He was the 1998 World Junior Champion and the 1999 U.S. National Collegiate Champion. He attended Stanford University and double majored in psychology and communications. He announced that 2007 would be his last appearance at the U.S. Championships. However, following the competition, where he placed better than he expected, he announced that he was keeping his options open. Delmore has since qualified for the 2008 U.S. Championships and is expected to compete.
Delmore recently appeared as the male lead in a musical production of Cold As Ice at the Gateway Playhouse [1] in New York, with rumors of a possible tour and eventual move to Broadway. The musical also featured Oksana Baiul in the female lead role. Delmore currently resides in Los Angeles.
