[edit] Career
Deron McBee toured the professional racquetball circuit for 3 years. He was also an original Gladiator on American Gladiators, performing under the name Malibu, serving for one season on the show before returning several years later for the live tour. McBee is known for his muscular frame and athleticism, and, as Malibu, his blond hair, tanned skin, and surfer persona. In addition, McBee has trained in karate, at the Billy Blanks World Karate Studio, and hand-to-hand combat and swordsmanship, with Anthony DeLongis.
As an actor, McBee has generally been cast in action movies, usually in roles which allow him to use his fighting skills to portray a villain. For example, in Enter the Blood Ring, he portrays the wrestler Gregor. His karate training was showcased in T-Force, as the character Zeus.
His most famous role is probably that of Motaro in the second Mortal Kombat film. McBee's B-Movie experience is highlighted by the The Killing Zone. In the DVD extras, McBee states that he has produced his impressive physique by abstaining from steroids and using a combination of prayer and faith. Discerning fans will also note from the DVD cover of that film that McBee has one nipple slightly higher than the other.
In addition to film, McBee has had many guest starring roles on television.

This has been confirmed from Malvin's Official Icons.com website, although its not clear how often they see each other if at all, it is revealed that Malvins mother has had contact with Deron at some point as from the quote from Malvins website
“ | Mind you Churchill is probably a bit better than a cousin of mine (Deron McBee) who's an actor and was one of the original American Gladiators with the nickname 'Malibu'. To be honest I don't know much about him, but my mum knows him a bit. Terrible nickname though. | ” |
