His Grace the Most Reverend Dermot Clifford D.D. (born 25 January 1939) is the Roman Catholic Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly in Ireland[1]. He was born in Ballymacelligott, County Kerry Ireland. He was ordained a priest on 22 February 1964 for the Diocese of Kerry and was appointed coadjutor archbishop of Cashel and Emly on 17 December, 1985. He was ordained a bishop on 9 March, 1986. The Principal Consecrator was Archbishop Thomas Morris; his Principal Co-Consecrators were Archbishop Gaetano Alibrandi and Bishop Diarmaid O’Súilleabháin, the Bishop of Kerry. On 12 September, 1988, Bishop Clifford succeeded Archbishop Morris to become the ordinary of the archdiocese.
