Dermophis occidentalis is a species of amphibian in the Caeciliidae family. It is endemic to Costa Rica. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montanes, plantations , rural gardens, and heavily degraded former forest.
