Derek Norris

Derek Norris (born February 14, 1989) is a North American professional baseball player. He is a catching prospect in the Washington Nationals organization. A 2007 graduate of Goddard High School in Goddard, Kansas, Norris was selected by the Nationals in the fourth round of the 2007 amateur draft.^[1]

RISE Magazine named Norris its 2006-2007 Kansas Baseball Player of the Year.^[2]

Norris spent the 2007 season with the GCL Nationals, Washington's affiliate in the rookie-level Gulf Coast League.
