Derek Ezra, Baron Ezra

Derek Ezra, Baron Ezra MBE (born 23 February 1919) is a Liberal Democrat life peer in the United Kingdom House of Lords and former chairman of the National Coal Board. He is the Liberal Democrats' Spokesman for Energy Matters and an Honorary Fellow of Magdalene College, Cambridge.

The University of Edinburgh awards a Derek Ezra award for "outstanding achievement in the study of combustion engineering".

He was elevated to the life peerage as Baron Ezra, of Horsham in the County of West Sussex in 1982. He is married and currently lives in Belgravia. Due to his age and declining health, he rarely goes to the House of Lords.
