2008 will be Derek's first year playing professional lacrosse. He will be playing for the Washington Bayhawks of Major League Lacrosse.
[edit] College Career
Played college lacrosse at Amherst College where he was selected to the 2007 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division III All-American Second Team. He was an Honorable Mention All-American in 2004 after being named NESCAC Rookie of the Year. He was named NESCAC Co-Player of the Year in 2005 and was awarded the 2007 NESCAC Player of the Year honor and was named to the conference's First Team for the fourth consecutive season. Derek had 118 goals and 204 points total over the course of his 59 game college career.
