Derek Carroll (born in Dublin on October 2, 1959) was an Irish soccer player who played in the League of Ireland during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
Carroll began his career at Dundalk before moving to Liverpool in 1978 in a combined deal with colleagues Brian Duff and Synan Braddish.[1] A stylish midfielder, he later returned to Dundalk and also had spells at Bohemians (making 53 league appearances with 1 goal), Athlone Town and Galway United amongst others during his career in the League of Ireland.[1]. He also had a spell in the Irish League with Crusaders in the mid 90s.
