Derek Benz is an American author of children's fantasy. Benz's debut series was the popular Grey Griffins Books, published by Scholastic, Inc. (publishers of Harry Potter). Benz is co-authoring the series with childhood friend, J. S. Lewis.
Benz currently resides in Arizona with his wife and son.
