Derek Thomas Alfonso (born June 30, 1982 in Houston, Texas) is an American technology broadcaster and technology consultant for Sogeti USA, a wholly owned subsiderary of Capgemini[2]. A native of Houston, TX, he now lives in Katy, TX with his wife Christina.[3]

Alfonso attended Alief Heflin Elementary, Alief O'Donnell Middle School, Alief Kerr High School (a magnet school), Homeschooling, and University of Texas at Austin dually enrolled through Duane Lake Academy.

Alfonso was given the opportunity to produce a technology radio show by popular radio station KCAA owner Fred Lundgren back in October of 2006 and The Power of Information was born. The show has been on weekly since October of 2006 and was ultimately picked up by The America First Radio Network and The Genesis Communications Network. Derek's past experience with radio includes working as a DJ and commercial voice talent on Houston radio station KHYS/KJOJ 98.5, KBXX 97.9, and KRBE 104.1.
