Derdas
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Derdas was archon of Elimaea during the time of Philip II of Macedon. His daughter, Phila, married Philip. He had two sons, Derdas and Machatas. Machatas was father of Machatas, Harpalus and Philip of Elimaea, who became the satrap of India. In 380 BC, Derdas and King Amyntas of Macedon supported the Spartan army led by Teleutias against the Olynthian confederacy of Chalcidian states. Derdas also aided Agesipolis, who was sent by Sparta to continue the war after Teleutias was killed.
