[edit] Why the templates should not be deleted
"They are not yet being nominated for deletion in case they can be adapted and brought back into useful service." Also bear in mind that a large number of players' articles incorporate them, since at the time there was nothing better. To delete the templates would be damaging to those articles. - Agreed. User:Juwe is leading the drive to establish a better template structure and he is well aware of the impact on articles that use existing templates. My idea of creating this category was to discourage further use of these templates and I hope people will gravitate towards the recommended infoboxes. BlackJack | talk page 19:05, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
