Topics I enjoy include

If this is a weekday, I could well be at 42°21′36.83″N 72°32′55.32″W / 42.3602306, -72.5487. Or I might not. It's hard to say. Is it lunch time?

[edit] Current Projects

I'm working on a web application in order to learn PHP and MySQL which will be ready Real Soon Now. I expect to reformat the crossings so they're consistent with other such articles as I add images. I've also done the Taunton river crossings past/present/future.

I've completed my project to get images of bridges on the Connecticut River for the List of crossings of the Connecticut River article. The last four rolls of slide film are away for processing! Soon. Sooooooon!

I've created equivalent articles for the Charles River which I hope to get to later.

Still to go, more information than I have needs to be added.

[edit] Word play

If conflict is trouble, would "proflict" be better? Something like "teamwork"?

[edit] Dormant Projects

I was one of the first, if not the first to create a web page about the IBM 1130, which is the machine I learned Fortran on back in high school. I tried to get one of these way back for the Computer History Museum but had no luck. It's a good thing that others succeeded where I didn't. The site is effectively complete, and I have no intention of modifying it further at this time.

[edit] Photographic equipment

While I have a Canon AE-1, I supplanted it with a Nikon N80 because focusing has become too much trouble. Even more so, film has become too much trouble. I hope to upgrade to the successor of the Nikon D80 as soon as possible. I want the self-cleaning sensor, but I'm not willing to pay US$1800 for the Nikon D300. So, note to Nikon: make a camera in the D80 price range with the D80's feature set plus a self-cleaning sensor, and I'll buy.

[edit] An observation

I thought hurling was what one did after drinking too much bad Scotch whisky.

For those who don't think there's such a thing as bad whisky, well, the one I finally poured down the sink was pretty awful.
