Talk:Denis ApIvor
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Since ApIvor was born in Ireland, I am not sure if he should be addressed as British. MarkBeer 08:20, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
- He was born in Ireland of Welsh parents, but the family moved back to Wales when he was five. He then resided in Britain for the rest of his life. I would say that's a pretty strong reason for calling him a British composer. Note also that the Guardian obituary calls him "a British pioneer of modernist trends from the continent".Matve 10:19, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
