Talk:Dendrocygninae
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Consider renaming Red-billed Whistling Duck (Dendrocygna autumnalis) to Black-bellied Whistling Duck. It seems to be more of a common name for that species. Results of a Google search: "dendrocygna autumnalis" AND "black-bellied whistling duck" resulted in 2,310 hits while "dendrocygna autumnalis" AND "red-billed whistling duck" resulted in only 137 hits. --psyphyre 01:57, Aug 26, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Dendrocygnidae
Is Dendrocygninae really a subfamily? I think that is a family (Dendrocygnidae). Results of Google search:
"Dendrocygninae" = 1.680 hits
"Dendrocygnidae" = 8.750 hits
