[edit] Summary
Copyright for this picture is held by The Rayner Trust. Denys Rayner's son, P.Vyvyan Rayner e-mailed me on 18 March 2006 saying "Please do use the photo". The image is in the frontispiece of Rayner's book "Escort" (Kimber:1955) (U.S.Naval Institute:1999) and - according to Rayner's caption in his book - in 1943 at the time he took command of HMS Shikari. It is an historic picture which complements and enhances an article about an historical figure - a decorated naval veteran - in an open source encyclopaedia. Sibadd 19:00, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
