Denton, East Sussex. A small village, associated with Newhaven. Adjoins South Heighton and Mount Pleasant. Backs onto the South Downs. Local church records suggest it is featured in the Domesday book.
Ralph Reader who created the Gang Show for the Boy Scout movement was from the village and the local Scout pack are known as "The 2nd Denton & South Heighton (Ralph Reader's Own)"
The village has one pub, the "Flying Fish".
