Dentalium ecostatum is a tusk shell of the family Dentaliidae, endemic to New Zealand waters. It is found off the west coast of the North Island at depths of about 530 m. However, this species has not been found again in the location described and its true location may be the Tasman Sea.
Length is 15.1 mm, and width at the anterior aperture 1.95 mm.
