Dentalium diarrhox is a tusk shell of the family Dentaliidae, endemic to New Zealand waters. It is found north east of East Cape at about 1,300 m, on the Chatham Rise at about 220 m, and in the Tasman Sea at about 610 m.
This little known shell is gently curved, fairly rapidly increasing in diameter, and smooth, except for very faint, only slightly raised logitudinal ribs.
Length is up to 20.5 mm, and width at the anterior aperture up to 2.3 mm.
