Dennis Shere

Dennis Shere is the author of Cain's Redemption, a book about the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola.

A native of Cleveland, OH, Shere graduated from Ohio University in the early 1960s with bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism. He has served as publisher of the Dayton Daily News in Dayton, OH, and as general manager of Moody Bible Institute's media operations in Chicago, IL.

In 2000, Shere chose to pursue a lifelong dream of attending law school. He graduated from the DePaul University College of Law in Chicago and passed the Illinois bar in the summer of 2003. He currently is an assistant public defender in Kane County, IL.
