Dennis Hammer is a veteran television producer, currently serving as Executive Producer of Heroes.

Hammer, raised in Southern California, began his career as a theater publicist working for Gordon Davidson at the Mark Taper Forum and Ahmanson Theater.

He made his move into television at the Aaron Spelling organization where a career shift into casting led him to cast some of the legendary producers most famous shows: Love Boat, HOTEL and Dynasty. Spelling and his business partner Douglas Cramer eventually made Hammer a Producer of those same shows over the course of his time with Spelling.

Hammer next moved to NBC where he brought 20 of Danielle Steel's best-selling novels to television with immense success. Hammer also produced numerous other movies and mini-series before teaming with writer/producer Tim Kring.

Together, Kring and Hammer produced the successful, long-running series CROSSING JORDAN. This began a creative partnership which led to Heroes, already an international sensation.

Hammer will also join Kring as Executive Producer of Origins, an upcoming new series for NBC.
