Denis Petrov (born 1968 in Saint Petersburg, Russia) is a Russian pairs figure skater. His pair skating partner was Elena Bechke. They won the bronze medal at the 1989 World Championships, the silver medals at the 1991 and 1992 European Championships, and the silver medal at the 1992 Olympic Games. Bechke and Petrov were married in 1990, but divorced in 1995. They continued to skate together after their divorce, and went on to tour with Stars on Ice. They are the 1996 World Professional champions.
In July 2005, Petrov married Chinese figure skater, Chen Lu. They currently live in Shenzhen, China. On June 27, 2006, they welcomed a son, Nikita. Both Lu and Denis are naturalized citizens of the United States due to their extensive professional engagements in America.
