Denis Leng

Denis Leng (born 26 November 1934 in Pudsey, Yorkshire, England)[1] is an English-born Irish former cricketer. A right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler,[1] he played six times for the Ireland cricket team between 1966 and 1968[2] including one first-class match.[3]

He made his debut for Ireland in September 1966 against the MCC[2] in what was his only first-class match.[3] He played three matches for Ireland in 1967, against Worcestershire, the MCC and the Combined Services. He played twice against Australia in July 1968, which were his last matches for Ireland.[2]

In all, he scored 6 runs at an average of 1.50 in all matches for Ireland, with a top score of 3 not out in his penultimate match against Australia. He took eleven wickets at an average of 37.36, with best innings bowling figures of 3/60 against the Combined Services in August 1967.[2]
