Denis Aberhart

Denis Charles Aberhart (born March 23, 1953 in Motueka) is a former New Zealand first class cricketer who played for Canterbury and Central Districts between 1976/77 and 1983/84. He later became coach of Canterbury during the 1990's before before being appointed coach of New Zealand in 2001, replacing David Trist. Aberhart led New Zealand to the semi finals of the 2003 Cricket World Cup before they were eliminated by Pakistan. Following the tournament he resigned as coach.
Aberhart also played for Marlborough in the Hawke Cup.
