Denain

Denain is a commune of the Nord département in northern France. It is the largest of 39 communes which comprise the Communauté d'agglomération de la Porte du Hainaut, an urban agglomeration with a total population of 147,989 persons at the 1999 census. Denain had a population of 20,360 living on a land area of 11.52 km² (4.448 sq mi) at that time.
