Dena Dietrich (b. December 4, 1928, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American actress. Her many acting credits include the soap opera, All My Children, as well as many other television movies and programs.
She is best known, if not by name, for the campy 1970s commercials for Chiffon margarine as "Mother Nature". Whenever her character tasted Chiffon's butter-like margarine, she labeled it as butter. Upon learning otherwise, the commercials always ended with her causing a clap of thunder and adding ominously, "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature!", as the commercial ended.
She also played Bea Arthur's sister, Gloria, in a guest starring capacity on The Golden Girls.
