Denver Rockets were a team in the American Basketball Association from 1967 through 1974 when they became the Denver Nuggets..

The team was initially slated to play as the Kansas City (ABA) team, then were briefly the Denver Larks, and became the Denver Nuggets in their last years in the ABA before joining the NBA when the two leagues merged in 1976. The team still plays in the NBA as the Denver Nuggets.
