[edit] Merit
This band is only 4 years old and has never been heard outside of America. Why does it warrent a mention in an encyclopedia. There is also no mention of numbers of records sold just the phrase 'huge success' and 'twice as many as the last one'. What 200 copies instead of 100?
- This band rocks what are you talking about they sold alot more then 200 copies 500,000more like it even 1mil well not that many but still —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.201.2.65 (talk) 21:05, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
Where is the substantiation and merit of this entry?
- To answer your question, anonymous person, Demon Hunter's last album (The Triptych) charted on the Billboard 200 chart at #136 and peaked at #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart (Don't believe me? Click here[1]). That should satisfy your want for "substantiation and merit." By the way, I love the pain-staking care you took to back up your claim that Demon Hunter "has never been heard outside of America." I mean, all the supporting facts that you listed... my goodness, was that entertaining reading! Roofi's Publicist 01:55, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Edit Page
Um, why is the article linking to the edit page for Summer of Darkness? It's already made.—Boarder8925 04:09, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Nevermind. It's stopped being screwed up.—Boarder8925 04:10, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)
[edit] The Blessed Resistance
The fact that Demon Hunter have such a devoted following that they have a fan-club thing that you actually have to pay to get into, does this warrent their own page or maybe a mention on the bands page?GreenRunner0 03:15, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Demon Hunter hiding their identities?
I have never heard of DH hiding their identities before I read the article. I would like to know why they wanted to do that sort of thing. --Adam Puckett (E-Mail me) *My Contributions *Talk 15:39, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- I think it was mostly a publicity stunt thing. Jpers36 18:32, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Actually, the above is only semi-true. It was mostly to keep the focus on the music, not on the members.

Why isn't there anything on the page about them being a Christian band?
[edit] Singles
I've been going through the album pages for Demon Hunter and adding sections for "Singles". However, I am only aware of 2 or 3 singles per album, though I'm sure that each album has at least 4. If anyone has any contributions so far as that goes, please don't hesitate to chip in! Perhaps the main article could have its own section that lists singles? Johnny Panic

[edit] Melodic Death Metal
Ha! Almost all the genres are wrong. Here are the correct genres.
Alternative Metal Metalcore
- You're kidding, right? Nickoladze 00:50, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
I'd like to say they have many Nu-metal songs (most notably on the first two albums but still present on the third) 'cause the hardcore influence is so minor it hardly makes them a part of a established metalcore scene and is drowned out by the metal sound they mostly display. Also many Nu-metal bands have hardcore influences, with quick drumming, aggressive vocals and breakdowns but it doesn't make them metalcore. I just think that as soon as someone says they listened to a hardcore band when they were 14 all the critics and fans start throwing around the metalcore tag, both in a positiv and negativ way.
Only put down genres if they have a valid source to go with it. BreakerLOLZ 19:54, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hell Hath No Fury At All

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:New hunter.JPG
Image:New hunter.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Distance issue in "History"
At the bottom of the "History" section, it says they filmed a video "at Whidbey Island, which is about an hour north of Seattle." Now come on, putting "about an hour north" in an encyclopedia is just asinine. I'm deleting the second part of that sentence (after the comma). If someone wants to, they can go find out how far it is in a valid unit of distance, but personally I don't think that's very relevant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.16.71.212 (talk) 23:14, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Reasons why they are hard rock
They are becuase almost half the songs on their latest album hardly have screaming in them. Here's the list.
1.Fading away
2.Carry me down
3.Incision
4.Thorns.
Four out of twelve is a good enough reason to say they are hard rock.
They're not hard rock. 4 out of 12 (or 14 if you have the special edition) is not a reason to call them hard rock. One that still leaves 8 out of 12 that are metalcore (10 out of 14 on the speical edition). And 2, you have to consider they're last albums which had alot more screaming and growled vocals in it. They're Metalcore if anything.Emo777 (talk) 09:37, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
