From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The traditional demonstration to mark the November 7 (anniversary of October Revolution) in Yaroslavl, Russia (2004).

The demonstration was organized by left-wing parties and attended mainly by old people who feel nostalgic for the Soviet past.

It is held near the Oblast Administration building (formerly it belonged to the CPSU's Oblast Committee, which explains the hammer and sickle emblem).  The bear with an axe image on the building is the symbol of Yaroslavl.
