Demy de Zeeuw (born May 26, 1983 in Apeldoorn) is a Dutch footballer, currently playing for AZ Alkmaar in Eredivisie. He is an effective defensive midfielder described as a good tackler and passer of the ball.

He began his career with his home city's club AGOVV. After impressive performances for the club, he caught the attention of Go Ahead Eagles who signed him up.
He was a member of the Dutch squad that won the UEFA U-21 Championship in 2006. In August, 2006 he was bought by AZ Alkmaar for a fee of €100,000, despite interest from F.C. Groningen. He was signed on a four year contract.
Impressive performances for AZ led to his international debut for the Netherlands national football team in a Euro 2008 qualifier against Slovenia on 28 March 2007.
Usually plays as a defensive midfielder and in the national team has to compete with the likes of Denny Landzaat, Orlando Engelaar and Nigel de Jong.
