In the fictional Star Trek universe, Demora Sulu (played by Jacqueline Kim in Star Trek Generations), is the daughter of Enterprise helmsman Hikaru Sulu and serves as helmsman of the USS Enterprise-B under Captain John Harriman in 2293. Demora also appears in the non-canon novels The Captain's Daughter by Peter David and Serpents Among the Ruins by David R. George III. George also wrote a Demora-centric story in the Tales From The Captains Table anthology.

Sulu's date of birth is unknown, although given that she appears to be in her early twenties in 2293, she was probably born in or around 2271. There is no canon information about Demora's mother, although her identity is covered by the non-canon novel, The Captain's Daughter.

James T. Kirk had met Demora some time during her early childhood, but hadn't seen her since 2281 until he met her again aboard the Enterprise-B. Upon their reintroduction, Kirk tells Demora that "It wouldn't be the Enterprise without a Sulu at the helm" (Star Trek Generations); then muses about when Hikaru Sulu could have found the time to have a family. Scotty reminds Kirk of his own advice: "Like you always say: 'if something's important, you make the time.'"

According to the non-canon Lost Era novel Serpents Among the Ruins, Sulu is promoted to captain and given command of the Enterprise-B after John Harriman steps down from that post in 2311.

Demora (played by Mimi Chong) also appears briefly in the Star Trek New Voyages episode "World Enough And Time", visiting her father Captain Hikaru Sulu on the Excelsior.
