Demon graphics is an art style popularized in the late 1970s in magazines like Heavy Metal and Epic Illustrated. The style was later used on many Metal album covers. Demon Graphics is based on 12th century Gothic Art, however using the Pre-Raphael approach. Most Demon Graphics pictures used a mix of oil based paint and airbrush. The movement lost popularity in the early '90s, however has inspired such video games as Castlevania and Resident Evil.
