The Democratic Labour Party is a small political party in the United Kingdom based in Walsall, and as a result is sometimes known as the Walsall Democratic Labour Party. It originated in 1996 when a group of Labour Party councillors were expelled from the party for opposing the appointment of a new right-wing leader of the Labour group on the Council. Joined by other local left-wingers, they helped set up their local Socialist Alliance, and stood as candidates under its banner in elections until it was disbanded. In the 2005 UK general election, they stood one candidate in Walsall North, where they received 2.3% of the vote.

According to the party's accounts for the year 2004 it had an income of £663 and expenditure of £832 for that year.[1] Its leader is Peter Smith, and treasurer and nominating officer is David Church. Stephenie Peart was listed as another office holder. In 2007 Peter Smith won a council seat on Walsall Council in the Blakenall ward.
