The Democratic Force (Fuerza Democrática) is a political party in Costa Rica, founded in 1994 by Gerardo Trejos and other new leftish Costa Rican leaders. At 1994 the pary won 2 seats, in de next elections (1998) the party obtained three seats, during 2001, the party diputies fought against "the combo ICE". At the last legislative elections, 3 February 2002, the party won 2.0% of the popular vote and no seats.
