[edit] License tagging for Image:Rme04.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Rme04.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 13:10, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

I got the guidline revisions from Tearlach already. Maraming Salamat Po (Thank You Very Much).

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Rme004.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you uploaded the same image twice: as Image:Rme004.jpg and also as Image:Rme04.jpg. The latter copy of the file has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and remember exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 14:47, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyrights

Please could you clarify the copyright status of the images you posted of the Marikina City procession. You have asserted that you are the creator of the images and release them into the public domain, but many of them are credited to other photographers such as Myron Mariano, Ronnie Reyes and Eric De Guzman. Tearlach 20:53, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Please don't restore the gallery at Holy Week Processions in Marikina City until you have answered the copyright question. Tearlach 10:23, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the note, and sorry about the misunderstanding. You need to make this permission clear in the image descriptions. Instead of {{PD-self}}, the template to use is {{PD-author|name}}. I've converted Image:Rme01.jpg to show the kind of thing. Tearlach 19:17, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Tearlach, Thanks for the assistance. =)

[edit] June 2007

A tag has been placed on Jed Santos, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Non-notable/unremarkable person

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tito Pao 12:37, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
