DemonicRhino replaced my user talk page with this message:
From Demonic Rhino, i will just create more accounts and i have different computers and different friends, that will always delete your things. May the force be with you...NOT!
Looks like someone is asking for some blacklisting.
I'm tired of this, and they should be as well. I think I'll just let other Wikipedians deal with them. Too much time has been wasted from their shenanigans.

New user Usla nz created his/her talk page and it was filled with info about the company of USLA, New Zealand. First, I placed {{uw-username}} on his/her page, but later, I noticed a site address. I then placed {{uw-spam}} there, and removed the previous tl, for both of them started from "Welcome", it would look odd. Also, I deleted the promotion. However, his/her name is still inappropriate, I think. Also, I proposed him/her to create an article about the company instead of placing data on his/her page, was this right?

Jjj222
Hi Delldot - I appreciate very much the spirit of your message. I've been a part of Wikipedia in one way or another since the very beginning, and am very familiar with the wiki way. This particular user, Jjj22, (have a look here if you don't believe me) is a serial vandal, user of multiple sockpuppets, and is in general an abusive user who should be permanently banned. Furthermore, I think it's extremely premature and therefore useless to speculate on Mike Piazza's Hall of Fame induction. I would say his induction is hardly a forgone conclusion, as better players than himself have been denied. Considering the uselessness of this content, and Jjj22s hundreds of very POV edits with the intent of skewing every article possible to the favor of the New York Mets, is why I reverted the edit and used foul language. Jjj22 is simply an offense to articles I've worked on when there were hardly any baseball editors on Wikipedia. In conclusion I agree with the spirit of your note, but disagree totally with the content. Until admins. finally do the right thing and ban this abusive user, I'm going to do whatever it takes to let him know that his POV edits will get him nothing but grief. Googie man 20:12, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Also, if you look at the edit summary here, you'll see that Jjj22 already undid the good faith edit of a good user who undid the edit because it was POV and had no sources. Googie man 20:33, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

I remember you asked me how the WAIS article is going. I'm very busy with school stuff these days. I've been learning the hard way that it's always best to take care of all responsibilities before you do anything else. I think I'll finally be able to catch up with myself in many ways during the Winter break. Eventually I'll even get around to serving my true purpose as a Wikipedian. I've taken a look at the articles concerning animation, and I simply must contribute all kinds of information, such as the many princicples of character animation. Deletion of SomerVille Ecovillage
Hi delldot,
It was a bit of a shock to find SomerVille Ecovillage deleted.
I spent quite a long time researching and adding references after the notability had been questioned.
There is no copyright violation as I am the author of the official SomerVille Ecovillage web site. Moondyne does not have his or her facts straight. Yes, there are several vacant paddocks within the 399 acres but there are families living on the land now with more on the way. I would be happy to arrange a tour for Moondyne as visitors are welcome by appointment.
It is not clear to me on what basis the article was eventually deleted. Are you able to clarify this for me?
I don't expect everyone to like the article and as a relatively new author on Wikipedia, would appreciate tips on how I can improve it rather than just having the article deleted for no valid reason.
Thanks,
Neil

I see why it was tagged and deleted, but the article does in fact assert some notability, in that it states the subject was is a member of The Tangent and credits three albums, all of which have articles, by the band with him as a member, . That seems just about to meet WP:BAND. Just prior to the article's deletion I placed advice regarding WP:AB and WP:BAND on the author's talkpage. I'm not advocating undeletion, but if the article comes back it might be worth keeping an eye on it to see if it develops. Cheers, Tonywalton Talk 11:31, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Oh, sorry Grandia01, somehow I failed to see this last post (someone must have posted right after you). Yeah, I was kind of putting off responding, because I hate blocking people that aren't obviously vandalizing. I don't think this person is a pure vandal, since they're leaving an explanation of why they're removing the section, saying it's biased. So really the way we should approach this is by discussing it with them. Of course, if they refuse to discuss it and just keep removing it, they'll have to be warned and blocked. But hopefully we can work something out. Whatever happens, I'm probably not the best person to block them, since I've been editing the page, it would be a conflict of interest. My suggestion would be to try discussing it with them (leaving notes on their talk page and the article's talk page). If they refuse to discuss and just keep removing the material, I'd give them warnings, and after they've gone past the final one, report to WP:AIV or WP:AN/3, depending on what they're doing. If you think the page should be protected, you can go to WP:RFPP, but like I said earlier, I don't think the vandalism is heavy enough to merit protection. Sorry to have neglected to answer for so long! And sorry not to be much help. I'll try working on the section so hopefully they'll be happy with it. Don't hesitate to contact me again (you might want to start a new discussion at the bottom of the page if I seem not to see this quickly). Peace, delldot talk 10:49, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Doreen Granpeesheh Deletion
Hello. You just deleted Doreen Granpeesheh's wikipedia page. This is the second time it has been deleted. Can you please give me some valuable tips on how to make it relevant to wikipedia so that it doesn't get deleted again? Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Centerforautismandrelateddisorders (talk • contribs) 15:07, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Sure! Thanks for asking. First, before you start, you should make sure the subject meets Wikipedia's notability criteria for people. The most important thing for notability is whether they've been covered my independent reliable sources such as newspapers. If not, they don't meet the notability criteria and should not have an article. At least as importantly, every statement in the article should be attributable to reliable sources, such as journal or news articles. These sources must be independent of the subject (e.g. the website of a group she's involved in would not work, though you could probably include it in an 'external links' section). Anything that has not been published in reliable sources cannot be included in Wikipedia. Third, the article should be neutral in tone. I thought the article was too positive about the subject; it's important that the wording and slant of the article not be too positive or negative. Fourth, the material must not violate any copyrights; all material should be in your own words. If you own the website you copied the material from, you can donate the text, but this is sort of an involved process, and it's much easier to write it in your own words. Fifth, you should not write an article about a subject you are involved in per our conflict of interest guideline. For example, if you are Doreen, or a coworker or close friend of hers, you should not write the article; instead, you should request it and wait for an uninvolved person to write it. If you can meet all these criteria, your article is almost certain to be kept! I'm glad to help you further if you need any more tips or any clarification of any of these. The blue links are to the relevant policies I recommend you read. Peace, delldot talk 15:20, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
-
- Is it possible to say where the article is too positive about the subject? I already removed some words like 'easily', 'clear', ... that could give a more positive image of the Verlet method than the actual. I should note that I'm not a native English speaker, so I don't have a perfect 'feeling' about these things. Kind regards. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.190.253.149 (talk) 18:03, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

A City Warning
why'd you delete A City Warning? They meet WP:BAND. City warming (talk) 11:33, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for the note. The answer is that it's not enough for the band to meet the criteria; the article must actually assert why they do. The article I deleted was a 2 sentence stub that made no assertion of notability. Can you explain to me how the band meets WP:BAND? I'm unfortunately going to have to delete the article you recreated too, since it also fails to assert notability (unless you can add such an assertion). Sorry! You can look at my first response in the above section for a summary of things an article absolutely must have to be kept: reliable references, a neutral tone, and an absense of bias, for example from parties with a conflict of interest. Don't hesitate to let me know if you need help or further explanation of any of this. Peace, delldot talk 12:00, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

WikiSandbox1 (talk) 07:38, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well I think it's great that you're interested in getting these articles together! I applaud your efforts, and I'm glad to help. My only concern was that an article that just says "this article is in progress" should not be in the mainspace, and is not more useful to people than nothing at all. Probably what would be better for the meantime (before we have anything written to put in each article), would be a redirect with possibilities, i.e. a redirect to a more general topic (such as the Victorian Railways article) for now. That way, people that come looking for the particular line will at least get some more general info. And once you have something to put in the article, it can be changed back from a redirect into a full article. I'm glad to help with any of this if you'd like.
- Another, unrelated suggestion I have is that you archive messages on your talk page instead of removing them outright, per the talk page guidelines. Thanks much, sorry for the hassle! Peace, delldot talk 07:48, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

hey, thanks for the message. i removed the list of reviews because i thought maybe they were contributing to the article being deemed too subjective. any suggestions on what else can be done to make the page seem less like an adjective. i changed the description but is that enough? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.193.62.120 (talk) 16:39, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks for getting back to me. I'm really glad you're working on improving the neutrality of the article, it's one of the most important things you can do around here!
- I had a look at it, and I thought the biggest problem with it was not the neutrality, but the notability; the article doesn't really explain what makes this site different from other online magazines. That is, it doesn't really justify why there should be an article about the magazine in Wikipedia (see WP:WEB for the guideline on notability for websites). Therefore I'm concerned that the article might not survive if someone nominates it for deletion. The most important thing you can do to fix this is to include citations from outside sources (i.e. independent of the magazine itself) that discuss it. If the magazine has been discussed and written about in sources like the news, that will show that the subject is notable and the article should stay. If it hasn't, the article will likely be deleted. Other than that, you can check WP:WEB, and if the site meets any of the criteria there, you should explain how it does in the article.
- My last suggestion would be to create an account. It's free and easy, and it has several perks. For example, I'll know who you are if you leave a note on my page, whereas I'm probably not going to remember your IP address. Plus you get a watchlist so you can monitor changes to articles you're watching, and there's other benefits. Just a thought.
- Thanks again for working to improve the 'pedia! Definitely let me know if I can be of any help with all this. Delldot on a public computer (talk) 04:23, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
Well, never doing this again.
A long time ago, I made this edit. Yep, I actually found it after all this time! Wow, I must've been really frustrated. After a while, of course, I decided to contribute positively. Anyways, tomorrow's the last day before the winter break! Hooray for Christmas! Ha ha ha, merry Christmas! Happy editing,--Padawan Animator (talk) 23:59, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Redirect of Jake ford
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Jake ford, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Jake ford is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Jake ford, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Delldot on a public computer
I just don't quite understand why you use this other account. Could you please explain what advantages come with that other account of yours? Merry Christmas, and happy editing,--Padawan Animator (talk) 14:08, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hey Padawan, glad you asked! I use the sockpuppet Delldot on a public computer because my real account has admin rights, so if it were to get hacked it could cause a fair amount of trouble for the 'pedia. So when I'm editing from a 'public computer', one that's not mine, I'm paranoid about stuff like keyloggers and other stuff that a potential hacker could use to steal my password and hack my account. In reality, it's probably pretty unlikely that all the necessary events would occur in the right sequence for this to happen. But since I'm not the only one that would suffer if it were to happen, I have a responsibility to be paranoid about it. So I edit from an account without admin rights when I'm editing from a computer I consider to be insecure, or one I'm not sure about. See also WP:SOCK#LEGIT, though it doesn't really have more info than what I just gave. Lemme know if this answers your question! Peace, delldot talk 15:56, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
