Template talk:Delimitnum

[edit] <includeonly>?

Is it worth wrapping the transclusion of {{delimitnum/real}} in <includeonly> tags, so that the template page doesn't have a stray "0" at the bottom? Or any other strategy for the same, that's just what immediately occurs to me. SamBC(talk) 12:36, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Makes sense, I've appied this changed

[edit] {{ScientificValue}}

I created a very similar template before I was told about this template. Have a look at {{val}} - I believe it has a few features which are an improvement over this template:

  • The use of named arguments for exponent and unit make it more readable to editors.
  • The "sup/sub" style notation feature for uncertainty is lacking in delimitnum.

I'd like to suggest we merge these two and deprecate on or the other.
