[edit] Archiving

Unless objected to, I plan on removing the request to archive. It's a waste of time, which discourages use of deletion sorting. I plan to simply tell people to remove closed AFDs. Opinions? --Rob 09:35, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Instructions on how to use

These are hopeless for people not used to dealing with this stuff. Clear step-by-step instructions are needed explaining what gets added to which page. Johnbod 21:27, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

I have attempted a more thorough guide for those not familiar with the processes. Tyrenius 00:57, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, that's much better! Johnbod 02:38, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tag Location

I'm thinking of removing the line "Place this tag above the nom statement, as it is a formal notice and not part of the debate." 2 reasons: I surveyed some of the deletion sorting subpages and I didn't see one that was complying with it, and I think it can be useful to see where in the process the AfD was brought to the sorting list. Anybody have an objection? --Butseriouslyfolks 05:38, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Not at all. Although not part of the debate, that one line certainly doesn't disrupt the flow of the discussion. Also, as you noted, few adhere to it. -- Black Falcon (Talk) 17:50, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Edit summary

Can we add a line suggesting that the linked article title be used as the edit summary when adding? Just got my wrist slapped because I didn't do it. Hornplease 09:44, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
