Template:DeletionPending
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a proposed template, to illustrate debate on certain types of closes at Wikipedia:Deletion process. Its purpose is to mark the page for imminent deletion but allow editors time to remove content they deem useful elsewhere, in the event of a "merge and delete", "redirect" or other cases requiring content to be extracted elsewhere as part of the AFD decision. It also adds the page (tagged as "pending") to the Speedy Delete pages category, so it doesn't get overlooked. See discussion on that page.
- Usage
{{DeletionPending|discussion page link|action}}
Parameter: action is what needs to happen to this page once editrs have removed useful content (either "delete" or "redirect")
Placement: Top of article page.
- Example
- {{DeletionPending|Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Amil Imani|delete}}
