Unfortunately I haven't been able to get historical rainfall records online, I went into the post office and asked the postmaster if he had them and he said the Bureau of Meteorology posted them out to him. The Bureau of Meteorology's copyright is a bit bizarre in that anything posted on their site can be re-posted without permission etc, however since this information isn't available on their website I'm pretty sure getting a copy of the records and scanning them would be breaching their copyright.
